Using The A.N.T. with a tarp allows you to move faster with the same amount of weight as opposed to walking backward. It also allows you to drag larger tarps that are fuller. Yes! At Practical Products, we only sell tarps that come with reinforced eyelets. Those are the ones that have the black triangular piece surrounding the corners. It’s best practice to make sure you’re using these every time you pull a tarp!

Every A.N.T. comes with the device, a drawstring storage bag, user guide, and contact card.

While using The A.N.T. may make you feel capable of carrying many times your own weight, it does have limitations.

The A.N.T. makes it possible to pull heavier tarps further because it improves ergonomics and efficiency when compared to the conventional method of bending over, grasping a tarp, and walking backward.

Testing is still rudimentary, but refer to this video to see the latest experiment! In a nutshell, it was almost impossible to pull 300 lbs of mulch without an A.N.T., and incredibly tough to pull 400 lbs with one. Suffice to say, the results of this test indicate that The A.N.T. is at least 25% stronger.

The real benefits of The A.N.T. are being able to do what would have been a two-person job with just one and working faster with less fatigue.

The A.N.T. itself should never break when used properly, but the carabiners are not to be used for climbing because that’s not what they’re rated for.

With that said, the carabiners have a 2700 lb break strength and a 675 lb safe working load.

When testing the durability of our webbing, the machine used maxed out at 500 lbs and the webbing had stretched significantly.

All this to say, your A.N.T. shouldn’t break unless you’re doing something wrong.

It’s normal for your A.N.T. to look a little different than what’s pictured on this site due to manufacturing differences and when materials were filmed.
